VL Website
The company website, rebuilt from scratch. There were no developers free to build it, so the design team structured it, designed it in Figma and shipped it themselves in Webflow.

About Project
VLMedia is based at OD TÜ Teknokent and builds social apps and games. Ninety-odd people, more than 150 million users across 180 countries, twenty languages. The company had grown into all of that, and its own website had not kept up.
My Role
I planned the new site structure, designed both pages in Figma, and built the result in Webflow. The project was a UX/UI job that ran all the way through to the live site, with no handoff in the middle.
The constraint
No developers
The thing that shaped every decision on this project was not a brief. It was who was available.
Waiting was the other option
When the website needed renewing there were not enough developers to take it on. For a UI/UX team that is a familiar and uncomfortable position: the design can be finished and still sit in a queue for months.
So instead of designing something and waiting to see it built, we went looking for a way to do both. Webflow turned out to be that way.
Structure first, then surface
I started with the site structure rather than the pages, because the old site's problem was not how it looked. It was that a company with 150 million users could not say so in one screen.
The home page answers what the company makes and at what scale. The about page answers who the company is, through a milestone line, the team numbers and the life inside the office. Design came after that in Figma, and Webflow took it from there.

What building it ourselves changed
Designing and building in the same place removed the slowest step in a website project, which is the gap between a finished design and a developer who has time for it. Changes that would normally be a ticket became an afternoon.
It also changed how I designed. Knowing I would build the thing myself, I stopped drawing layouts that would be expensive to assemble and started thinking in the sections and components Webflow actually works in.
Outcome
The company got a site that says what it does and how big it is, and a design team that can keep changing it without asking anyone. That second part is the one that lasted.
